Welcome! My name is T and you’ve found my piece of the internet.

I am a graphic designer and this is where you’ll find a sampling of my professional and freelance portfolio. Please take a look around and let me know what you think!

I graduated from Colorado State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. My concentration was graphic design. I have been working professionally since 2004. I spent 8 years with the Greeley Tribune in Greeley, Colorado as an advertising designer. After my time with the Tribune, my family and I (my wife and our 3 boys) needed a change of pace, so we moved back to my home town of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Where the heck is Pagosa Springs? It’s way down in the southwest corner. If you made it to Durango, you went about an hour too far. I would consider it to be one of the most beautiful spots in the state, but I’m very biased.

I am currently the Art Director and Senior (only) designer for Parelli Natural Horsemanship. Parelli is a worldwide company, headquartered here of all places. We specialize in educating people and their horses to facilitate a partnership that leads to safety, fun and results. As the art director and designer, I am responsible for so many things: brand management, IP packaging design, web graphics, trade show displays, retail signage, event branding, print media and advertising, and more. Thankfully, we have a fully staffed media department to handle the AV needs.

I am also open to freelance work. I am a print and branding specialist, but I can handle some simple web work too. I’m also working my way toward an Interactive Design and Marketing certificate from MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design) so I will be adding more robust digital design and development to my resume very soon.

In addition to my design work, I also blog from time to time. I cover all sorts of things with no real rhyme or reason – whatever is on my mind at the time. In addition to design, I do like to write so it makes sense to put that here too. I enjoy cars, technology, design, exploring my faith, and my family, so you will likely find bits of that sprinkled throughout the blog.

I appreciate the time you took out of your busy schedule and/or web meanderings to check out my site. Please don’t hesitate to shoot me some feedback or questions if you have some.

Thanks for stopping by!
T Jay
