My wife and I are launching a side business. We are going to try our hand at Screen Printing, which was pseudo announced in a previous post by pictures. As soon as my new laser printer gets here, we will be official. (I tried doing transparencies on my inkjet... Office Depot sold us the wrong kind.) Read more

At a retreat with the leading men of our church at the YMCA in Estes Park. Discussing discipleship over church building.

I enjoyed the drive. It’s been some time since I’ve driven that far alone. Missed my wife and our conversation a ton… But it was good to have some quiet time with my thoughts.

My prayer on the way up was quite simple. To see God and be refreshed.

I know he will deliver, I just never know how.

It’s not very often during my day job that I get to work with Flash. Of course, I’m not doing any major action scripting or programming; just a touch of interaction and button building.

I don’t consider myself a master, but more and more, I am feeling confident in my abilities and would consider myself competent.

Coming up this summer is one of Northern Colorado’s premier music festivals, The Greeley Blues Jam. It’s grown significantly each year and this year, the featured headline act is none other than Robert Randolph and the Family Band!

As mentioned in a previous post, I was fortunate enough to be able to help with the logo design for the event. It was a pleasure to continue working on event promotion materials via a flash banner to  be featured on GreeleyTribune.com.

Without further ado, I present the Flash Ad:

It’s a simple, yet effective ad. The scrolling text and “logo treatment” gives the ad visual interest and the simple button rollover ads a sliver of interactivity. It should be going live any day now. I truly hope it’s successful!

A quick upate: Here is a screenshot of the Blues Jam banner live on the web!

Disclaimer: The above Flash Media was created for The Greeley Tribune and it’s respective websites during my regular employment hours.
